Com diu Morbhen Rattray, FormBox, és una poderosa eina per al futur de la fabricació. Més ràpid que una impressora 3D, més fàcil que cuinar una coca, així és el FormBox creat per Mayku Industries. Han dissenyat un sistema completament nou que permet a l’FormBox dibuixar gràcies a l’aspiració de qualsevol aspiradora. Basat en la tecnologia de embasat al buit.
FormBox et permet crear motlles en qüestió de segons perquè puguis fer tirades curtes de productes, sense haver de córrer. Troba els objectes al voltant de la casa per crear coses sorprenents. És simple, posem l’objecte triat a la màquina, aspirem i ja tenim el motlle creat.
El projecte està a Kickstarter esperant recaudar els calers suficients per fer-lo realitat: FormBox: A Desktop Vacuum Former That Makes Beautiful Things. Sembla que volia recaudar 50.000 dòlars i en porta 450.000, pinta bé això!
